Not every dog loves every dog. It’s frustrating, frightening and heartbreaking to share your life with a dog who reacts with aggressive display behavior in the presence of other dogs. If you’re afraid or embarrassed to take your canine pal out in public because he barks, growls, lunges or attacks other dogs, Reactive Rover Camps may be for you.

Come work with your dog in a controlled, supportive environment with a small group of dog owners who understand your emotions – because they share them. Install a conditioned emotional response, practice sub-threshold counter conditioning and desensitization, learn calming and management techniques, coping responses, and emergency escape exercises.

Do it all in a pastoral setting on Peaceable Paws’ 80-acre campus. Hike with your dog through trees and open fields, as s/he learns to accept other dogs at a safe distance.

This three-day program, taught by Pat Miller, Certified Dog Behavior Consultant, will help you be more comfortable with your dog in public, provide you with tools and skills to continue working with your dog to improve her/his behavior around other dogs, and introduce you to a support group you can continue to network with following the Camp, to hold your hand through the occasional setback and cheer you on as you report future success.

Maximum of 6 dogs per camp

Cost: $500.00

No people-aggressive dogs, please
