Puppy Kindergarten Class: >Bring your pup to Peaceable Paws for puppy socialization, play time, cognition games and puppy good manners training.
You’ll teach your pup the cue “Sit” as a default behavior (what he’ll do when he isn’t sure what to do), and teach the following behaviors: Down, Come, Walk Away and Polite Leash Walking. Be the first on the block to teach your pup puzzle games, and shape or color discrimination, as well as the awesome game of choice. Learn how to give your pup more cognitive skills and choice in his life and in the process get better voluntary co-operation and build a stronger relationship. It’s a win/win!
This class offers a rolling enrollment plan; you can take up to 8 weeks to complete 6 classes. Each class is 60 minutes. 8 pup limit per class. 6 Weeks $150.
Accepting pups from 8 weeks to 5 months old.
We will skip classes the week of May 29th (Memorial Day) and the week of July 4th.
Basic Good Manners:If you and your dog missed out on Basic Good Manner training, we have good news – it’s not too late! In this class the two of you will learn sit, down, wait, walk away, polite leash walking, and many more that are important for a dog to know in order to be a well-behaved canine citizen. Training improves communication between you and your dog, strengthens your relationship, and increases the odds that he will be a well-loved member of your family for the rest of his life. For dogs and puppies 8 weeks and older. $150 for 7 weeks. All classes will be held at the time listed below. The first class serves as an orientation and is WITHOUT DOGS. Maximum 6 dogs per class. The Distracted Dog
The Distracted Dog: 6 wks, $150 - Must be PPaws Puppy or Adult Good Manners graduate or receive approval. Is your dog a “wild child?” Is he an angel in the home but seems to forget you exist amid distractions? If so, then this is the perfect class for you! We’ll sharpen your training skills and build your dog’s focus and responsiveness to you. Super Dog Class
Super Dog Class: This is our advanced good manners class: Work on stays, behavior duration, distance response to cues, retrieve, generalization and how to use shaping to better your behaviors and teach your dog anything. AKC CGC Class
The American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen is a certification program that promotes responsible dog ownership and rewards dogs with good manners at home and in the community. CGC is a logical group dog training foundation class for therapy or service dog work, competitive dog sports, tracking and performance events. CGC is a fun next-step class to continue your work on basic manner
CGC Class is open to dogs who have completed a basic obedience or manners class. Dogs must be friendly toward other dogs and people.
All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test (administered at the end of the class series) may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

At Your Service: Service Dog Training FOR FUN
At-Your-Service (Service Dog Training for FUN): 6 wks, $150Must be PPaws Puppy or Adult Good Manners graduate or receive approval. Your dog may not be a service dog but he can learn a few fun and helpfultasks. While this class is NOT for service dog training, it will cover basic service dog training techniques like shaping, targeting, and behavior chaining to train behaviors including opening and closing the fridge, pushing buttons, carrying objects, retrieving and more.
