Includes a demonstration of teaching several new behaviors to a novice dog, using the clicker-training method. If you know you want to sign up for a specific Manners 101 class, then please register under that class. Do not register here. RegisterPuppy Social
Puppy Social: Puppy Social is puppy playtime, plus introduction to novel sights, sounds and smells, and interaction with other humans. Benefits are: a well-socialized puppy is much more comfortable in her world for her entire life, and as a result far less likely to ever become fearful and/or bite. (Of course, all dogs will bite with enough provocation; socialization shortens the list of things a dog might consider adequate provocation for biting.) You will have the time of your life watching your pup play with her pals, while at the same time doing one of the best things you can to ensure she has a long and happy life. You can register and start your 3 week session anytime there are openings, as long as your puppy is within the appropriate age group and there is room in the class. For puppies 8 weeks to 6 months. $30 for 3 weeks or $10 for 3 weeks when taking puppy 101 at same time. Use Coupon Code GM2 (can repeat until 6 months old). Maximum 10 puppies.
Puppy Manners, 101
Puppy Manners 101: Puppies learn so easily! This is the best time to start teaching your baby dog the behaviors you want him to do for you for the rest of your lives together. Install “Sit” as his default behavior (the thing he does when he doesn’t know what to do); teach him to happily trade his chews and toys to prevent resource guarding; reinforce polite leash walking before he’s big and strong enough to pull you down the sidewalk; and teach him many more important good manners behaviors while his puppy brain is still young and impressionable. He’ll love training with you, and he’ll absorb his lessons like a sponge. Better to teach him the right stuff early than to let him learn the wrong stuff on his own! For puppies 8-20 weeks. $150 for 6 weeks plus required free seminar: Finding Your Dog’s Inner Lassie. Maximum 6 puppies per class (This class can be taken concurrently with Puppy Social)

RegisterAdult Dog Manners, 101
Adult Dog Manners 101: If you and your dog missed out on Puppy Manners 101, we have good news – it’s not too late! You can teach old dogs new tricks, and it’s usually only a little more challenging than teaching a puppy. The two of you will learn sit, down, wait, trade, leave-it, walk politely on leash, and many more that are important for a dog to know in order to be a well-behaved canine citizen. Training improves communication between you and your dog, strengthens your relationship, and increases the odds that he will be a well-loved member of your family for the rest of his life. For dogs 20 weeks or older. (No dog is too old!) $150 for 6 weeks plus required free seminar: Finding Your Dog’s Inner Lassie. Maximum 6 dogs.
